Client used POP3 to login instead of IMAP - Possible to recover all emails?

Hi All,

One of our client managed to create an email account in Outlook 2007 as POP3 - so Outlook has been deleting all emails after retrieval. Because of this, at the webmail, there only exists emails that is several days old (where it should date back to 2010).

I have taken a look at the .grp files and there seemed to be decent inbox files there:

So my question is that, is there a way to restore all the emails deleted by POP3 retrieval by Outlook?

Thanks in advance!

We have learnt that the client has had this POP3 set up months ago which is older than our first backup available... So we couldn't restore from backup now...

I am not sure whether some email recovery software online can help you. such as Easeus or HDataRecovery.

You may be able to create a second account for the user as an IMAP account and tgen drag the messages from the POP account to the IMAP account on the user's desktop. Since your backup is younger than the earliest date of the messages you are attempting to recover, you may still loose earlier messages.
