Open new message in tab

We have a customer who likes to open up new mail windows in a tab instead of working in a pop-up. To do that, you hold down the command key (mac) or control key (PC) then click on New and it will open a tab.

They are asking if you can make it a setting where it will always open in a new tab?

That would be very nice. It will also solve the dragging of images in the small popup window.

I have already made a suggestion here a long time ago and the SmarterMail team has not answered me until today.

The nowadays already quasi-standard way to compose emails is as written here in this post:

Is there no feedback from the SmarterMail team on this?
