Enable External Providers for Events

NOTE: The use of external providers is an advanced SmarterTrack feature. Because external providers are designed to meet specific company needs, the development and integration of external providers requires programming knowledge.

System administrators can use external providers to extend the functionality of SmarterTrack. The events external providers will notify any third-party system when any event occurs in SmarterTrack.

Applies to SmarterTrack 11.x-12.x

Enable events for External Providers

  1. Log in to the SmarterTrack management interface as a system administrator.
  2. Go to Settings >> Tools >> External Providers.
  3. Click the Options tab and select the Enable events provider checkbox.
  4. Click the Events tab.
  5. Complete the the Web Service URL and Web Service Password fields.
  6. Click Save.

Applies to SmarterTrack 6.x - 10.x

Enable events for External Providers

  1. Log in to the SmarterTrack management interface as a system administrator.
  2. Click the settings icon.
  3. Expand System Settings in the navigation pane, and expand Setup.
  4. Click External Providers.
  5. Click the Options tab and select the Enable events provider checkbox.
  6. Click the Events tab.
  7. Complete the the Web Service URL and Web Service Password fields.
  8. Click Save.
