Looking for Installation Support Consultation (Paid) in NJ (metro NYC)

Hello,

I live NJ, close to NYC by train. I would like to pay someone to look over my SM install ("free" version due to less than 10 accounts, IIS, Win7 Pro, dedicated PC, website served from home via static IP Verizon FiOS). Mail server installed and accessible via https (only, by choice). Webmail functions, syncs with Outlook. But, I'm having 2 or 3 minor issues and find it takes me a long time to "crawl inside" the issues to try to fix them. My preference is on-site but this could all be done by Skype/FTP I suppose. I need someone to check the name server, router ports, and verify mobile access (this has been the part that didn't work). I think it would take a bona fide expert 2 hours to "click thru" all of this and I am willing to pay $250 flat fee for this. I apologize if this appears tawdry, commercial or unseemly.

Are you on a business account at home or verizon standard fios account? Verizon tends to block alot of ports and generally makes running a mailserver hard to do. I would also make sure you have a PTR record setup for your IP address.

Depending on how to set things up, a proper setup will take more than 2 hours unless you want a very basic setup without certificates and SSL security.

Evan, thanks. I have a business account and the mailserver is running. I've set it up to use https and the certificate is fine. I need someone who knows the ins and outs to just scroll thru the pages under the SM admin, see the router firewall for the ports, and then figure out why mobile mail doesn't work. It's 98% done but I can't get the last 2%. Also, I need someone to make an effort to turn on the spam relaying prevention.

I can certainly verify with you if you can gran remote access via remote desktop or teamviewer session. It might just be IIS bindings / Windows Firewall or Port Forwarding. Please feel free to contact me via evan (at) palace-designs.com
