Need some help on this as I NEVER had this issue before and I really need some guidence.
I am on windows server 2019 vm SM version 9581.
I did plan an upgrade to 9735 Sunday night, but I was unable to uninstall smartermail 9581. I never had that issue ever before.
Process I use for update:
I stopped the mail service, waited 10 minutes for mail service to remove from task manager and then attempted uninstall of 9581, which failed with these errors:
"Called run script when not marked in progress"
I hit OK then got the below:
"Called installFinalize when no install in progress"
SM Never uninstalled and the service is running after reboot staying on 9581. Everything is operational.
Everything I looked at points to installer permissions but I am using an admin account and I am able to install and uninstall other software on the server, just smartermail cannot be uninstalled.
I am at a loss hoping someone had this issue and can give me a solution. Maybe I should just re-install the same version I am on 9581 but not sure if that will work or even how to do that when I cannot uninstall?
