Block Authentication by Region/Continent

One of my favourite features of smartermail is the "block authentication by country" as it helps combat invasive attempts to access email accounts.
It'd be superb to add "Block authentication by Region/continent" to be able to block an entire region, or permit only some regions of access.

Block by "region" would be problematic as that can be subjective as well as would require some sort of internationally recognized database for it.

Blocked by continent would be even less useful. Again, first it would require some sort of internationally recognized and accepted database. And since islands are not continent, Hawaii for example would be specifically excluded.
I created a program

that, in addition to log analysis, allowed for the creation of country groups to be applied as "country blocks" to selected domains with a single click.

There was little interest, so I put the project aside.
I use it internally now.

Was the last version done in March still the latest version? Can the access to the logs be on a mapped drive location on a separate server? Anyone test it on the Linux version yet?

I joined here in July and this seems like a very useful tool. Great work.

What Firewall are you using ?  with pfSense out in front, you can add in pfBlokerNG and then set IP blocking with "MaxMind" There are multiple pre built IP lists for known spammers, hackers, etc that you can automatically add to the list and it blocks all traffic before it ever gets to the server. And it does offer essentially continent blocking, and you can sub categorize each setting

With the firmware, it's an all-or-nothing solution.
Using SM's internal functions, you can block authentication on a domain-by-domain basis.
For example, I can't access authentication from Asia or the Russian Federation using standard authentication.
Then, some domains ask me to unblock them because they're going on a trip to China, and I can do so.
