Upgraded to 9511, lost admin access

I upgraded from build 9483 and now the primary admin access is being denied. I can log in as other users and as my domain admin account. How do I get out of this mess?

The upgrade: I shut down the smartermail service and IIS. Ran a backup, uninstalled 9483, and rebooted the server because the uninstaller said it needed to happen. I then installed 9511 and let everything come up. Not sure where things went off the rails.

I've tried the admin password reset KB article without success. I'm going to go to sleep and deal with this in the morning. SmarterMail is working, just no longer under my control.
