autodiscover.xml issue

Not A Problem
Hi,

I installed the Smartermail docker version (On an Unraid server) and everything was a breeze except for the autodisocver.xml file which seems not to be created correctly.

When I try to read the XML file using the URL: autodiscover.domain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml It’s displaying the message “This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below”. But there is nothing else displayed on the page. So, the web server is working correctly but the XML file is not present or just not correct.

I tried to change the Autodiscover.xml file using the “Override Desktop/Mobile XML” option of the domain, but that doesn’t change anything at all, on or off, the result is the same.
Did someone encounter that issue before? Because I can’t find anything about that specific issue on the forum or the documentation of the software.

Thanks in advance for the help.
Cédric

Hi, Cedric

That message is actually expected. Hitting that URL via a web browser doesn't send the request in a "normal" autodiscover way. Therefore, nothing useful is returned, so nothing is displayed. The fact that anything is returned, however, shows that the endpoint is active, however. This is why overriding the XML shows the same thing. You could configure Fiddler to decrypt HTTPS traffic, then probe autodiscover with a client. That should return a result you can see.

Hi,

I understand, it's normal then.

Thank you for clearing things up for me :-)
