System Message Date Variable (%ReadDate%) Not Being Translated
Problem reported by Rafael Grecco - 9/11/2025 at 12:30 PM

Hi,
I use SmarterMail’s official translation package so my customers have a Portuguese interface.

However, there are some variables that I can’t find a way to translate. In Options -> System Messages, I have manually translated some messages, as shown in the image below.

The problem is that the variable %ReadDate% still shows in English, for example: "Wednesday, September 10...".

How can I translate this variable or tell the system to use the Portuguese (BR) date format?

Thanks!

System messages are language specific. The ones that are already created will default to English. To translate a system message, begin by creating a new system message. This should open a dialog that will allow you to select the message type and language. Then, when a system message is sent, it will try to select the best language for the recipient, based on their saved settings.
