Block Authentication by Country randomly resetting
Problem reported by Jay Altemoos - 9/8/2025 at 7:29 AM
Resolved
Good day,
Is anyone else seeing an issue with the Block Authentication by Country list randomly being reset? The current build we are running in build 9322. For some odd reason and it happened several times now that the setting we have to blocking authentication by country gets reset for no reason. We have the setting set to only allow countries we specify and block the rest. From what I recall we first saw this issue on version 8747 possibly? It's been awhile so I don't recall the exact build number, anyway I opened a ticket with support already on this because it's now reset itself at least 6 times now and it's concerning.

I would be interested in the answer to this. We are currently on 9294 and want to upgrade to one of the latest versions, but this would definitely put a pause on that plan.

Hello,

It happens to us too.. We opened several tickets a while ago, and after a lot of testing, it seemed to be resolved, although the cause wasn't found.
Now, with the 9371, it happened again right after I installed it.
We can't figure out why it happens randomly.

We're also waiting for a definitive solution.

Mark
The lists are installed once when a new version is released and not updated afaik.

We have sought a solution where the lists are maintained and updated on a schedule.

Our Firewalls are running list updates every 3 hours for that exact reason and we use our firewalls to block traffic by country instead of the server.

This problem has been around for a while now. In fact, we make it a habit to check (and then re-setup) the country-specific settings after every update recently.

I hope this can get fixed soon.
