Disabling a user from initiating email migrations

Hello, is there a way to prevent end users from initiating mailbox migrations? My concern is that if, for example, a domain admin decides to migrate a large volume of emails, it could severely impact SmarterMail’s performance. I’m running a quad-core server with 8GB of RAM on Linux, hosting around 400 users. The average load stays below 1, but initiating just five large mailbox migrations pushes the load to 6 or 7, requiring a restart of SmarterMail. Thanks.

There isn't a way to disable mailbox migrations completely, but the Protocols page has a setting - Max Mailbox Migration Threads - that you may find helpful. This setting restricts how many mailbox migrations can run simultaneously. If the server reaches that limit, any additional migrations will be added to a queue and will wait until a thread becomes available. Lowering this setting should help you keep the load on your server down.
