It would be practical if you could use app passwords without activating 2fa.

We have several scenarios in which users are suddenly allowed to use active sync and I then have to give them the password (the majority of my users have a 35-digit password that they don't know themselves), if I now activate 2fa they may be logged out of Outlook because there is then also a MAPI password.
