SMTP Advertising STARTTLS

Hi

I am setting up a hosted email server based on smartermail. When checking the setup with MX Tools it said that TLS is not supported.

$ telnet mx3594.syd1.mymailhosting.com 25
Trying 192.250.232.100...
Connected to mx3594.syd1.mymailhosting.com.
Escape character is '^]'.
220 mx3594.syd1.mymailhosting.com
EHLO hostname
250-mx3594.syd1.mymailhosting.com Hello [144.137.218.222]
250-SIZE 699050666
250-AUTH LOGIN CRAM-MD5
250-8BITMIME
250-SMTPUTF8
250-DSN
250 OK

No 250-STARTTLS

Is this setup wrong, or is it because there is a fake server in front of the real SMTP server?

Hey Peter,

Thanks for the question. Please go to Settings->Bindings->Ports. After this select port 25 and set the encryption type to Start TLS. After this select the certificate that you want to use. If you have multiple certificates in the certificate folder it will use SNI. After doing this please try the test again.

Thanks,
