Hello, 

If you go to Settings -> Events can you check and see if any of them are blank? 

You can click on them one at a time and check the action card. 

If any of these are blank and they are built-in Events you will need to regenerate the Events file. If you have custom events they will be lost during this process.

Yes, the "Name" column was blank for several of these (New Version, Disk Space Used & Changes, Add-on Expires). Not sure why as we've never changed anything here, so maybe a bug in some old version...

Anyway, we'll try your process to regenerate Events file and let you know how it goes.

Tony, we followed your instructions to delete the Events.json file and reinstall SmarterMail, but it didn't make any difference.

Went to Settings->Events and 4 of the entries including New Version are still blank. Clicking on New Version under Type, I manually entered an Event Name and Subject (under Show a notification). That should fix it.

But just wanted to make you aware of this as we never touched anything here. Not sure how these ever got blanked out as you can't remove Event Name since it has an asterisk(*). This particular server is running Free version Build 9147, but we have other servers that do show the notifications properly.
