Hey everyone,

We just released .NET 9 in Build 9147 (January 16, 2025), and I’m curious if anyone’s seen any differences compared to .NET 8.

We did a ton of testing in-house and noticed some major improvements in memory usage, and things just seemed to run smoother overall. But I’d love to hear from you:

👉 Are you seeing better memory usage, CPU efficiency, or faster performance since upgrading?

Real-world feedback is super helpful, so let me know what you’re seeing—good or bad. Let’s compare notes and see how this version is working for everyone.

Looking forward to hearing from you all!

Kind Regards,

For now I'm testing it in a test environment to see if this build has really solved the MAPI synchronization bugs that appeared for my customers on all LINUX-ERA releases (all those AFTER the 8930, to be clear... At the moment in production I'm still stuck on this one and I won't move until my tests have given me certain confirmation of the solution to the problem...)

That said, it seems promising and let's hope it's the right shot.

If I decide to update the production servers too, then I'll let you know if I see improvements in performance.

Hello,

Just installed it I will report as soon as I get feedback from the users (will this also mean that we can uninstall net.8 (of course I have no other software on the server that requires .net)

thanks.
