All folders/Bulk Folder rebuild option for mailboxes.
Idea shared by Nathan McKAy - 12/17/2024 at 8:59 AM
Under Consideration
I would like to propose that there be a option added to rebuild all folders tied to a specific mailbox instead of only having the option to do it for a single root folder, and subfolders belonging to that folder. There have been several times where I have had to rebuild a mailbox and had to spend 15-20 minutes copying and pasting folder names because someone makes a folder for *Every Single* person they message.

I would even be content if the request was interpreted as being able to type out <root> or something into the folder name field to have it rebuild everything.

I do want to point out that a workaround for now is that SmarterMail can currently recursively rebuild multiple subfolders and you can currently rebuild all folders by entering "/" for the Folder Name field.

This workaround with "/" as root folder to rebuild is valid either for Linux AND Windows, or for Windows do we need to use "\" instead?

Hi,

I tried this workaround on a test user and the result is both a success and fail toaster popping:

I'm a bit confused if it worked or not at this point.

Note: Tried with both "\" and "/" as path
