Copying Mails to a different accout depending on spam level
Question asked by Martin Schaible - 11/16/2024 at 5:07 AM

Hello

In a few months we will switch our SmarterMail to Linux. That will definitely be the end of Declude.

To analyze spam emails, Declude can forward an email to an account based on the spam score. I.e. "If SPAM-LOW then copy the email to huibui@mydomain.ch"

I don't see any way that SmarterMail can do that.

Do you have any ideas?

Cheers
Martin

Since you were using Declude for this, creating a system level event would probably give you the closest behavior. Use the Email event category and select the event type Message Received. You can add a condition for the spam level, and an action to add a recipient.

Hi Andrew

I will dive into this. This sounds promising.

Many Thanks

Unfortunately this doesn't work.

An event allows to send an Email as a notification that a spam mail was received, but not the spam mail itself.

Which action did you add to the event? For events created with the Email category, one of the available actions should be "Add Recipient".

My fault! I use now "add recipient"

How do i deal with the "maximum frequency"? This event must be fired constantly for every incoming Spam mail.

Thanks!

To make sure it triggers for every received mail, set the maximum frequency to None.
