Am I moving too fast?

I'm dealing with an account that no longer connects to Outlook on Android. I can connect to other accounts in the domain, both old and new, just not the one I need. So, I rename the account, then recreate the original account which is new and empty. Outlook mobile won't connect to the new account. I stomp around, then delete the new account and rename the temporary account back to the original name. When I went into the account via the web interface my folders were missing. I decide to rebuild the folders and start with the first one. I go into the web interface to verify it worked and find all the folders are now there. WT *&@%$?

Do I need to be going to brew a pot of coffee after I make certain changes to give the server time to do whatever it is doing? I've never before had an issue trying to connect to an account almost immediately after creating it. And its not like I am all that fast in the first place, if I'm being honest.

Outlook mobile is much like Outlook desktop in that it passes traffic through a middle-man service. That middle-man service does a fair amount of caching as well, so the speed at which you're moving through this testing could definitely be a contributing factor. What if you rename the account to a totally different username that has never been used in Outlook mobile? Does it sync there? You will also want to give it some time to finish it's initial sync since it will need to sync everything up to Microsoft then down to your client.

Well poop. Yep, I can connect to the account under a different name. So how do I clear out the cache and get my original account name back? I am not at all interested in having to deal with a email change to resolve this. Something happened Saturday the 12th that broke the connection. The only thing I could find in that time frame was the client version of Outlook Mobile was updated on the Android.
