Authentication with LDAPS
Idea shared by Roger - 8/2/2024 at 7:16 AM
In Progress
Hello everyone

As far as I understand it, it is currently possible to log in using Active Directory or LDAP. We would like to make LDAP/S available for our customers via port 636/TCP. The customer server should be accessible via the IP address via WAN.

Is this already possible today? If not, when will this be possible as we see real added value here and have already received inquiries.

Thank you and regards

Roger

Thank you for the idea Roger! I do agree that this could bring real added value to our product. I'll escalate this request.

Thank you very much Jorel. We do not want to connect our Windows mail servers to any domain structures as this is a security risk. We also want to be able to control several customer environments and in my opinion LDAPS and in future SSO/SAML is certainly the best solution.

Hey Roger,

There is a task currently in progress to add this ability. Hopefully it will be in the next build.

We were able to add LDAPS functionality and you should see that in our next release. I verified this against a couple of different LDAP scenarios but please submit a ticket if you run into any problems with your particular environment. Thanks Roger!
