Upgrading from the beta builds to the public release (when the beta completes) should work without issue as they'll be running the same code base. That being said, betas can introduce issues that will eventually be resolved in the final release, so we don't recommend upgrading production environments at this time. If you have a less critical environment with solid backups though that might be an excellent candidate for testing! Let us know if you have any more questions on this :-)

Kyle, is there an estimate for when the current Linux beta will go RTM ? I am not asking for an exact date, just something like the next 2 weeks, 1-2 months, or whatever.
