I'm really disappointed with the release numbering that has been adopted by Smartermail...

...I mean... there's no way that the stable version and the BETA version have the same version number...
this is FAR beyond anything I've ever seen in my life (and believe me, I've seen a lot... I even contributed to the Linux kernel, but I'd never thought about it before...) ....

This is just a rant about the numbering management which is simply stupid...

I'm not complaining about the product itself (wonderful, I think...) but only about the way the numbering is managed.

I'm a bit in the same boat for this.

I am waiting for a fix/addition to SmarterMail that would resolve an issue we have with retrieving informations from the server through the API.

It has been added to beta build 8909:
  • A new API call to retrieve domain aliases.
Logically I thought it would also be available when stable 8909 build is out, but it wasn't.
So now I'm a bit lost as on which stable build it will be available as the changelog for stable/beta for a same build number differs.

Now, it's really cool that there are two branches stable and beta. Here in the community we were asking for this for a long time :) But yes, the version numbering between beta and stable is a bit confusing.
