The problem with webmail login after upgrade SmarterMail
Question asked by Eleazar Schmeler - 2/20/2024 at 8:41 PM
Unanswered
I have a problem with webmail login after upgrading to the latest version of SmarterMail. Sometimes, when I try to log in, I get a message saying "Invalid username or password", even though I am sure I entered them correctly. However, when I check the SmarterMail logs, I see that the login was successful and there are no errors. This is very confusing and frustrating. I have to restart the SmarterMail service to fix the issue, but it happens again after a while. Is this a bug or a configuration issue? How can I solve this problem?

Hello Eleazar, I've noticed this if the user has saved the password in the browser.
I've simply solved with checking / uncheking REMEMBER ME just at the first login.

Do your users leverage LDAP/Active Directory for authentication? If so, you may need to reestablish the link to your domain via LDAP binding string to ensure it has accurate domain details.

I get this when logging in as a system admin and checking “remember me” works.

There is a problem with security headers
i.e. Refused to apply style from  .../interface/github-markdown-css because its MIME type ('') is not a supported stylesheet MIME type, and strict MIME checking is enabled.

Refused to execute inline script because it violates the following Content Security Policy directive: "script-src 'self'". Either the 'unsafe-inline' keyword, a hash ('sha256-M78VT8fucdU2Ju/3K8brC6/BP2zye3vadSyDx0byEhc='), or a nonce ('nonce-...') is required to enable inline execution.
and so on

I got it. Maybe I need to change auto-login for next time.
