Host Name on the Options Window

When I go into the settings for a domain on smartermail. under OPTIONS TAB there are items listed as domain name, status, Host Name, etc...

All my mail accounts are setup to use hostname as my mail.servername.com. We don't set this to mail.emailaccountdomain.com.

So currently we have all the Host Name set to our mail server. mail.servername.com for every account.

Everything has been working fine this way for years.

1st question: is this the correct way of doing this?

2nd question: If I upgrade to the latest smartermail version, will the new way of supporting certificates cause a problem the way I have the HostName setup?

I do not plan to have separate certificates for each account. It will be a single certificate setup with my email server name as it is now domain setup as mail.servername.com.
