Build 8776 notes

I installed Build 8776 Thursday night, not long after it was released, which probably makes me the first to try it.   We were in a bit of a panic because SM had locked up on both Monday and Tuesday, with the Tuesday crash causing data damage.    I installed the new release on a test system first, for insurance purposes, then on our production "mail store" server.    Both installs went very smoothly without problems.    48 hours later, the system continues to run well.

I upgraded our production server from 8664 to 8776 thursday to friday night CET because of some bug fixes we needed. Surprisingly it went well and we have no issue to report (yet).
I pre-installed ARR before upgrading though, as I've read here and there that some upgrade failed due to missing ARR.

But really, that's a good surprise :)

Kind regards.

Update:   We are cannot create new ActiveSync connections.  Nearly all pre-established connections work.  Ticket opened with Support, but no answers yet.  Don't know if it is unique to us.

See next reply:   The ActiveSync problem occurred because of our mistake.

The ActiveSync problem was unique to us.   Developer had an API issue and made a hack to work around the problem.   Removing the hack fixed our problem.   We will be pursuing his API issue today.
