Unable to send mail as an individual alias using eM Client 9 with EWS account
Problem reported by Brian A. - 12/4/2023 at 9:43 AM
Resolved
I'm trying to send mail from an individual alias (as opposed to a domain alias) using eM Client 9 with an EWS account.

The available aliases populate properly (both domain aliases and individual aliases). When creating a new email message, I'm able to choose any of the domain or individual aliases as the from address. However, when I attempt to send the message with an individual alias, I get an error saying the user account does not have the right to send mail on behalf of the specified sending account.

I have no issues with WebMail sending as an individual alias. Also, domain aliases work fine from within em Client 9 using EWS. It's only the individual alias that will not send.

Any ideas?

Hi Brian,

I'm sorry that you're having trouble sending from aliases within eM Client. This issue has been resolved, and the fix is available in our SmarterMail BETA, Build 8713. The fix will be available in a public release in the near future.

Kind regards,
