Rspamd runs now :-)

Hello

Since a half an hour SmarterMail and Rspamd are working together. It was a bumpy, rough and sometimes awful journey to this point.

First of all, the KB article from SmarterTools doesn't really help. I don't want offend SmarterTools, but the article is a bit crappy. I think, the people where in a hurry and didn't had time to test and confirm things.

The article is partially wrong and important information is missing. This page needs overhauling. I'm willing to help, no problem!

Then the documentation from Rspamd is not always easy to understand. If you are used to accept a documentation as "This is the way you go. Trust me!", you're wrong. It's more "I give you a way to go, deal with it". So the nerd-factor is 100%. The whole product is damn nerdy :-)

Declude and Rspamd are running side by side. So i don't have any pressure to get along with Rspamd very fast. Actually i'm wondering, why Rspamd doesn't really score much. Probably i have dive into the modules/symbols and other stuff.

Cheers!

SmarterTrack (our Portal) allows for KB suggestions and comments!  Please don't hesitate to give us some guidance, that is how we improve our articles.  I have not followed the instructions myself but have seen a similar complaint before. We intentionally don't get into the Linux side of things since there are so many flavors!

rSpamd is a beast, we use it in front of our SM server, it does take some configuration out-the-box to get going, but once you understand it and set it up, it's awesome. Between it and VadeSecure, we get almost zero spam.
