I think that's a great idea. I would also like to know how many emails are still coming in via which alias in a given time.

I have SQL Server stored procedures to parse the SMTP log and Delivery log into (Microsoft) SQL Server tables, creating one record per message.   It uses the "OPENROWSET BULK ()" command to parse the text, which has surprisingly good performance when parsing text files.  

Send me a private message with your email address if you want a copy of the code.   I use the full version of SQL, but SQL Express should work as well.
