I just updated to Build 8538 and I am doing basic testing... May take a few days before I know for sure as tomorrow, I have to travel a little way away for an on-site job.

[EDIT #1] I performed a couple of quick tests, and the formatting looks good. I did find that the first line or two in some eMails have a blue highlight visible when viewing the eMail in the SmarterMail Web UI, however, that is NOT happing when viewing the same eMail in Outlook. I've already uploaded samples to the ticket I have open on this topic. More testing is planned for this coming Tuesday.

I'm about to upgrade from 8451 to 8538 on a 4500 users server that uses AD for authentication. 100% of users use Webmail interface or IMAP (no POP or MAPI).

Has anyone used AD authentication on the most recent update? While I can test the upgrade itself, I cannot test user authentication (cloud/VPN configuration does not allow such test).

I updated yesterday because i have not updated for the last 3 updates due to "issues" and users were complaining about Outlook not syncing and not being able to send or reply to certain emails. Well my users are still having issues and now i have another user whose Outlook is crashing and needs restarting. My own personal Outlook email which connects from my home office won't sync and download emails, although it says connected and takes 15 mins to sync and nothing shows.
Is there a new release soon?

Hi Karl. Have you run resync and reindex on the affected users??

We did and havent had a single complaint since.

Hi Brian yes i have, that's the annoying thing about it... hasn't seemed to work.
Says all folders are uptodate but there is nothing in them.

Hey Karl,

There is a new version coming out today. This should resolve the syncing issue. Please give it a try when it comes out.

Thanks,

As i mentioned i completely removed Outlook profile and its 4 email accounts, created a new profile and recreated all email accounts. NO Change in the Smartermail MAPI/EWS account, contacts and calendar updated but no emails.

Updated the Smartermail server to 8545. restarted my Outlook 2016 and email then started to sync and download.

I have not as yet got updates from my other users who were having other problems... more to come.
