Update to Build 8524 (May 4, 2023) IPhone WebDAV stopped working
Problem reported by Ravi Ram - 5/8/2023 at 4:15 PM
Not A Problem
SmarterMail Enterprise:
After upgrading to Build 8524 (May 4, 2023), IPhones using WebDav is not working on several IPhones.

We have deleted the Calendar Accounts and tried to add them back.
Error: Cannot Connect Using SSL. (we have tried with SSL 443 and without SSL 80)
Error: CalDAV account verification failed.

We have looked at all the doc and followed the tips, but nothing as worked.

These accounts have had no issues for over 2 years.

I suspect it is caused by the null sender bug.

CalDAV and CardDAV don't work using DAVx5 on Android either since updating SmarterMail to the recent version (after the hiatus).

Hey Brian,

This could be caused by the Webdav module being installed on IIS.
Please try the following.
1. Open the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager on the SmarterMail server and highlight the SmarterMail site in the tree on the left.
2. Click on the Modules icon under the IIS section in the middle pane.
3. Highlight the WebDAV module and click Remove on the right side of the window.

If this doesn't help, please ensure you are using the correct WebDav link and authenticating with the server. You can find the Web Dav link in the user's settings.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,

@Zach Sylvester response above "Webdav module being installed on IIS" worked for me.

Unfortunately, after a Windows Update, I had to remove the Webdav module again.

Nonetheless, the steps DO work as outlined.  -- Thanks again Zach

I do not have WebDAV problems and I have it installed on IIS. Am I supposed to remove WebDAV module?

Hello Seph,

Thanks for reaching out. That's strange. In all my testing I have had issues with this module being installed. Maybe there is something wrong with it. I would recommend removing it just in case it starts acting up.

Thanks,
