How to delete items more than 36mths old in webmail??
Question asked by Brian Bjerring-Jensen - 5/5/2023 at 12:57 AM
Unanswered
I have a user with 52,7GB in the mailbox and to say the least its flaky at best. Works fine in webmail but Outlook has issues.
Mails come in and blinks in the inbox folder but are gone right away.

Changing his settings in the offline folder makes it work for a while.

Total size is 52,7GB reported in webmail and 57GB in outlook.
How to bring that down?? Archiving doesnt bring the total filesize down and setting a clean setting in webmail does nothing.

Archiving in outlook sure does bring the size down.
How are you archiving?

We archive everything thats older than 36 mths but it doesnt bring the sizes down.
I havent checked the large mailboxes to see if the mails are older in every folder.

Outlook .PST File Size Limits for Different Versions

Outlook 2002 and prior versions of Outlook allow you to store data only up to 2 GB.

Outlook 2003 and 2007 have a size limit of 20 GB.

Outlook 2010, Outlook 2013, and Outlook 2016 has file size limit up to 50 GB.

Do users "just under" 50 gigs have any issues?
