Hello Shaun, I'm sorry to hear you had trouble with this! I recommend logging in to SmarterMail as a system administrator then heading over to Settings>Events where you can set up an event like the one I've included a screenshot of below:

Be sure to configure the Send an Email action so it has a max frequency of something like 24 hours so that you get these notifications once a day rather than repeatedly! You can set up a couple of events like these ones and configure it to notify the user or the affected domain administrator as well, so there are lots of ways to fine tune these notifications.
