double trailing slashes in Top Pages report - SmarterStats 10.0.5420
Problem reported by CCC - 12/3/2014 at 8:33 AM
Resolved
I am seeing several sites on our server with double trailing slashes in the top pages report.

It appears that smarterstats is mistakenly appending a trailing slash where it doesn't belong (for example, there are entries in the report for "/wp-login.php/" instead of "/wp-login.php"  and there are entriws with /directoryname// instead of /directoryname/

The IIS logs look normal (no double slash)

I am seeing the same issue with our site, only we are running SS 9.3.5409 and our web server is Apache.  Like the user above, we don't see the double slashes in the actual log files.  One thing we have in common is that we are running a wordpress site as well.

Did you find any resolution to this?  I am thinking of re-processing the logs as a first step.

This has been fixed in the 10.x minor coming Thursday.  Take the following sample hits from a log:

/path1/
/path1

Stats actually imports those as separate pieces of traffic (which technically they could be).  To make it more readable, we throw a slash at the end of hits that don't have extensions on them, but the bug is that it wasn't already checking to see if the slash existed.  So before, it was showing like this in reports:

/path1//
/path1/

After the fix, these are consolidated into one row:

/path1/
