Content Filtering - syntax for deleting all messages from a domain displayed in the header text
Question asked by Michael Miller - 10/13/2022 at 7:58 AM
Answered
I am trying to create a Content Filtering rule, using wildcards, that will delete ALL incoming emails that mention a particular domain in the header text.

E.g.: Delete all incoming email with the text [*.click] in the Return-Path header.

What I've done (that isn't working):

Create a rule called "Blacklist"
Match type "ANY condition must be met"
Enable wildcards ON
Action: Delete Message
Condition: contains specific words or phrases
Field: Email header
Comparison: Contains
*.click

So for this header example,
"Return-Path: <sara_martinkus-myname=mydomain.com@loudmixes.click>"
do I need wildcards on both sides of the phrase, like this? [*.click*]

Thanks for your help!
