License and API help
Question asked by Sérgio Rocha - 8/11/2022 at 12:47 PM
Answered
HI,

Today I found that EWS and MAPI it will be license by account. In the past I activate MAPI for everyone.
I have 2 questions:

Can I have a different number of EWS licenses and accounts? like in Active sync?
I have a long list of secondary account that I can disable MAPI, can anyone help me to find the API method name where I can disable the EWS? I found for Active Sync but I cant find to EWS.

Its not a good idea to have the MAPI enable by request since only a few can configure exchange, it will be nice if we pay for accounts that use MAPI and not for accounts that have the MAPI enable. just and idea.

Thanks

SMR

Hello Sérgio.

The MAPI / EWS license is handled differently from the way EAS ( ActiveSync ) license is handled, This needs to match your SmarterMail license user count.

Here is the API call to enable or disable MAPI / EWS for a user

Let me know if you have any more questions.
