Build 8223 - webmail - Daily appointments are entered two days or one day back
Problem reported by luca seveso - 7/13/2022 at 7:44 AM
Resolved
Hello we have a problem with a web calendar

The problem is about the date of all day appointments,
if I select a day it automatically puts it for me the day before and when saving the appointment is saved for the day before.
As shown in the screenshot, I selected 15, the editor opens on the 14 and saves the appointment on the 13

Hi Luca! What timezone is your Windows Server configured for, and what timezone is configured in your user account settings in webmail? I did a quick test on this from a virtual machine here thinking it might be the date format, but was not able to reproduce in-house. Thanks in advance :)

We are having the same problem with build 8223. In our case it is one day back in case of an all day appointment. Timezone in our case is UTC+1 (currently with CEST it is UTC+2).

Hi Christian,

I was able to replicate a similar issue. In my testing so far, it appears to only occur with UTC and UTC+ timezones. When clicking on the Week/Day view > All Day section, the popout window's start/end dates not match the day that was clicked.

Can you confirm the same issue?
If what you're seeing is different, can you please provide the steps you're taking to create the appointment?

Thank you,

Hi Andrea and Kyle, our timezone is UTC +01 (server and webmail) and the problem is the same replicate by Andrea, but also when i transform an hourly appointment into a daily appointment

same issue here (in Italy we use CET that is UTC+1)

After seeing this thread I went ahead and gave it a try.

Same issue

If I remember correctly we already had a bunch of tickets and community posts for this before and at some point it seemed resolved.
It is now back :(

Edit: Seems the issue exists in both Week and Day view of the calendar, when you click on the "whole day" cell to create a new all day appointment.

Same here: Germany (UTC+01:00): an all-day-appointment is moving one day prior on each edit/save process :-( so right now it is almost "useless" and will create really a mess and frustration.at our employees.
Checked this by eMClient/EWS: and iPhone/EAS: did not notice this behavior with these protocols - right now better do not use webmail for managing/creating/editing calendar-entries :-( Custom build with a fix would be great.

Damn, it is indeed even worse that I thought orignally.

Any all day appointment created/edited from webmail shift a day back at creation and at every modification of the event.

We already have complaints from customers claiming their calendar is a mess and willing to sue us beacuse they lost business due to incorrect rendez-vous dates. It's a _huge_ fail.

I just wanted to give you all a quick update on this one. We have made some progress on this and have resolved the areas noted with some success. We did identify some related problem areas we need to also address and obviously would like to get these changes tested thoroughly, so unfortunately I don't have an ETA available at this time. We are moving forward though!
