MailProcessing Folder
Question asked by ellisfr - 6/10/2022 at 10:08 AM
Answered
Hello,
We had several freezing of our mail server today.
I discovered one user has a MailProcessing Folder with 40667 files in it, for about 208 GB !
I suspect the processing of this folder to be responsible for the slow/freezing server.

Can I move the content of this folder somewhere else and re-adding it a few files by a few files later ?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to the community. The Mail Processing Folder Filling up could be due to a few conditions.

  1. Deleting Large folder
  2. Moving Large folder
  3. Moving a lot of Mail
I would recommend the following options.

  1. Wait it out and find out what user caused this and caution them from doing so in the future.
  2. You can stop the service and then rename the folder and start the service back up then do it one by one.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Kind Regards,
