Hello,

I as a domain admin, want to impersonate the users to access their calendar details. Can domain admin impersonate the user? Or do I have to use system (Or top) level admin credentials?

API I'm using: POST api/v1/settings/domain/impersonate-user/{email}

Hello Raj,

Impersonation is limited to System level admins with this ability turned on. This is true for the API as well.

Please let me know if you have any more questions on this.

Thank you

Hi Tony,

We are using free edition of SmarterMail for trials. It supports one domain with upto 10 mail boxes.

So, In this case do we have a system level admin?

We have one domain admin. We want to impersonate the users.

Hello Raj,

Thank you for your question. All SmarterMail servers have at least one system admin account. If you log in as the system admin you can go to Settings->administrators this area will show you all the system admin accounts. You can also change settings for administrators here.
If you're having issues logging into the system admin account you can reset the username and password using this guide.

I hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

Please see my feature request here for giving impersonation to domain-level admins, and up-vote (the up arrow in the header of that post) if you agree.

I really need this feature too. I need to allow domain-level admins to impersonate their users only.
