message retrieval pop automatic

hello,

What should I check to find out why pop retrieval only works manually but as soon as I set it to automatic it doesn't check the ext. pop box to retrieve messages

Hello Richard. From Manage>Troubleshooting>Options you can increase the POP Retrieval logs to Detailed, then re-test and check the results from Manage>Troubleshooting>View Logs by selecting the POP Retrieval log category. I hope this helps :-)

Oh my, silly me.

The pop retrieval log was empty after changing log level to detailed.
Then I checked the Pop retrieval service which was stopped.. I had no customer using this service... 'till know.
