J Lee's idea for Build 7889 was excellent and useful

So I propose it again for build 7887

Please post your experience with updating to 7887.

I haven't seen new issues untill this moment, but it's only 24h so I can't be sure that it's all OK.

I will monitor my installation for the next few days before confirm that there's no issues at all

We have a ticket presently opened. Voicemail message files sent by email from our PBX phone system are unusable in Outlook 2019 / MAPI. Everything is OK in the webmail.

The attachments are supposed to be named for example '' msg001.wav '' (as displayed in the webmail interface) but in Outlook the attached file is named '' Voicemail sound attachment_ '' and it has no file extension. Smartertools Team was able to reproduce the bug and escalated my ticket to the engineers team.

Hello,
Running the build since a few days on our installation, so far no breaking issues to report. Great !

As anyone noticed an increase in System Administrator emails for blocked emails. Within a short period of time after the update we started to get these messages:

Delivery has failed to these recipients:
*@domainname.com
  Subject:??
Remote Server returned: '550 5.7.1 Service unavailable; client [ip number] blocked using Proofpoint Dynamic Reputation (Visit https://ipcheck.proofpoint.com/ if you feel this is in error.). Please provide the following IP address when reporting problems: ip number'

Did anything in the security settings change in this build?

Vahn, this looks more like a remote system is rejecting mails originating from your server becase the server IP has a bad reputation.

You should check the status of your server IP for example at the following places:

and also as suggested in the message you received:

You might have accounts on your server that send SPAM and the server IP get blacklisted.

I don't think it is related to the update though.
Kind regards.

That is the strange thing. We do not show up on any blacklists. We have never had a problem until the day after the update. It might just be a coincidence.  Proofpoint.com doesn't give any clue as to the problem. I am trying to get a response from them. I cannot find any unauthorized relaying or particular computer with a virus. Just annoying that valid emails get rejected.

Hi Vahn,
Yeah I think on this one your best option is to check with them why the remote servers using their filtering is rejecting your messages, if you can get a response.

Vahn - something else you can look at while you're waiting for a reply is to check the DNS records for the sending domain to make sure you have a PTR (Reverse DNS) record matching your hostname, SPF has been published, DMARC isn't being violated, etc. Proofpoint may have you on an internal blacklist, but it could also be the IP reputation or missing records.
