2fa and imap

Hello.
But by setting the two factor authentication on an account, do you lose the ability to access via imap?

Couldn't you use techniques like oauth like google does?

Thank you

Hi xabaras,

When you configure 2FA on your account several application passwords will be created based on protocols. so you'll have a password specifically for IMAP/POP/SMTP. You'll find more information about this and a screenshot of what it would look like in the web interface in our help here: User Account Settings. At the top click on "Two-Step Authentication" and you'll be taken down to the correct section of the page.
