Greetings

Wwe  have   setup  Smartermail  enterrprise    to host mailing

however reagrding Antivirus on server

we woud need  confirmation
we normally protect servers  with symantec  ses(Broadcom) cloud agents   for  Virus protections
https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/symantec-security-software/endpoint-security-and-management/endpoint-security/sescloud/Installing-the-Symantec-Agent-and-enrolling-devices.html

so   now  if we install agent on smartermail servers  do we need to set  any exclusions

as  later  queue/mail loss doesn't happen  for clients
and
and yet  our servers  shall remain protected.

thanks and Regards

Hello! Operating a third-party antivirus on your SmarterMail server without the proper exclusions can lead to data loss, corruption, and locked files which can lead to the SmarterMail server experiencing unexpected behaviors. To resolve that you'll need to ensure the following exclusions have been implemented in your AV solution:

Once those files/directories have been excluded, you can then re-implement your AV solution into the SmarterMail incoming/outgoing spooling process via the Command-line Antivirus options found in Settings>Antivirus when logged in to SmarterMail as a system administrator. Please feel free to submit a ticket on this should you need further guidance. Have a great day!
