Migrating SM To New VPS - Content Filtering Rules Stopped Working
Problem reported by Ben Santiardo - 8/20/2020 at 6:05 AM

Hello,

I just recently migrated to a  new server, and I copied all the settings and mailboxes from my old server. I am noticing though, that the content filtering rules I created in some of my accounts are not triggering. Is there something I need to do to fix these rules? I haven't tried deleting and recreating yet...trying to avoid that.

Also hard to test if they work when there is no "Run Now" option like Outlook has. So I have to sit around and wait for the next E-Mail that matches the rules to test the filter.

@Ben, thank you for reporting this. We have another report of some content filters not running as expected. I will update this thread when we have more information.

Hello Ben,

I wanted to reach out to let you know that we are aware of a bug where domain-level content filters are processed based on the ordering of rules in the JSON file, rather than the ordering of the rules displayed in the interface. We have a task to address this issue.

If you're having trouble with user-level content filters on the latest build, I would advise that you open a support ticket so we can review this further.
