Hi,

I would like to hide throttling tab for domain administrator or restrict domain administrator so they will not be able to change throttling limit.
Recently, one of domain administrator change the throttling limit and set Message Throttling Action:None
He send thousands emails and our mail server were blacklisted.

Please let me know how to hide throttling tab or grey-out throttling options for domain administrator. I am using SmarterMail Enterprise 15.7

We hide them manually by editing template files.

We no longer use v15, so I don’t remember the specifics for it. However you should be able to match the template file to the request.

Also not using v15 anymore but we used to hide the mailbox size, which should be on the same template as throttling. I looked through our old documentation and what you want is probably in C:\SmarterTools\SmarterMail\MRS\UserControls\UserSettings.ascx.

You can't just delete the sections you don't want, you have to hide them. So find the throttling settings on that page and add Visible="false" to the relevant tags.

Hi Jersey,

Thanks for the suggestion. I disable the throttling features via Visible="false"  as you describe in your answer.
I am wondering why domain administrator have higher privileges than smadmin account.
In future version we also need to disable the throttling in same manner or we have dedicated option. Please confirm.
