Build 7188- Waiting to deliver

I have bunch email Waiting to deliver tab , the actual status of email is delivered status . Let me know how to overcome the problem , Seems to be lot of bug in build 7188

Hi Binesh, if you're on 7188 you should be good to go, but may need to make one more quick change. Under Settings>General>Spool please adjust your Retry Intervals like so:

1, 5, 5, 15, 30, 30, 30, 30, 60, 90, 120, 240, 480, 960, 1440, 2880

The  settings already done my part. However waiting delivery filled with Mali delivered status mail.  Seems to be bug.  I noticed some of your earlier build similar but subsequent build is fixed the issue. I hope you understand the situation.

with those Retry Intervals, its like 4 1/2 days (if my math is correct), don't you want to know before that of your email hasn't been delivered?

Brian,

When the retry intervals are all added up they do equal out to a little over four days.  However, they will proceed sequentially from smallest to largest.  Generally speaking, most emails should be delivered before getting past the first few retry intervals.  It would be a rare occurrence for one to go all the way to last retry interval.

Thats correct Ben. The longer length retry intervals that come towards the end of the series are to account for situations where the destination mail server was offline or unavailable for a period of time due to network or server issues or something else preventing your server from completing the SMTP handoff. The shorter retry intervals will take care of the vast majority of emails.

Also Binesh, this Waiting to Deliver issue (if still a problem) may be something we should look at further. Can you go ahead and submit a ticket on this?

Till previous build, no issue for me seems to be something missing this build,  Keep updating every build you release online. 

All waited delivery message gone once reboot the server. Look forward next build

Few more points noticed  Retry internal first couple of  interval missed and I have to add first two interval.  Log indicate the waiting to delivered mail  indicate delivered status.  Please have a look at log


keep trying delivered mail
