How to prevent mass mailing in Smartermail?

Use SmarterMail Professional 11. How can I limit the amount of messages sent by an account at a time interval? I need to prevent my users from sending bulk email. If I can not restrict sending, what do I need to do to receive notification when a user sends bulk email?

Hello.  Your best option would be to set up Throttling.  However, in version 11, this was an Enterprise only feature.

Thanks, Rod!. My best option would be to set up Throttling, but it's not allow on Smartermail Professional. So, what's the alternative? Is then nothing I can do?

Unfortunately that is the only option we're aware of in the version you are currently running. Is upgrading to a later release a feasible option at this time? With newer versions you can control these areas quite a bit more.

You can also do this by creating an IDS rule if SmarterMail 11 supports it.
