Can you automatically save emails to a Network Shared Folder
Question asked by Jason Earle - 6/19/2019 at 9:30 AM
Unanswered
Wondering if there is a way to setup a filter to have any emails addressed to say a project name automatically save the email to a shared network location. We are trying to be able to have all correspondence related to a project automatically saved to a network location where we store other projected related files.

If it is not possible is there a program anyone could recommend?

You could set up message archival, and configure it to archive to a shared drive mapped to the SmarterMail server. I believe you may be able to redirect messages to an account on a domain stored on the shared drive as well potentially.

Kyle, that might work. Do you have documentation on the message archiving?

Don't think this will work as I would only want it for certain email accounts and would want users to be able to read emails from within the shared network folder. I think I will end up having to use a vba script via outlook rules to accomplish. I think it would be a great feature for SmarterTools though. Have the ability through message filters to be able to route emails to a folder / shared folder.
