Mailing lists -- any changes from version 16, in the current build?

Hello, friends,

Currently I use SmarterMail 16. Many of my email clients depend heavily on the SmarterMail mailing list function.

I would like to update from version 16 to the latest build.

Do mailing lists migrate easily? Do mailing lists essentially work in the same way? Are there any surprises or big changes in mailing list management in the latest build of SmarterMail?

Eric, from my understanding mailing list functionality should be largely the same. I do recommend doing a test upgrade on a development environment before rolling out to production though, as that'll give you the chance to see how it handles the upgrade conversion. You can use the instructions below to "migrate" your mail server data to a new server for testing purposes: (Steps 3, 4, and 5.) https://portal.smartertools.com/kb/a2724/migrate-smartermail-to-a-different-server.aspx

There are some open issues currently, but a fix has been identified and should be in our next public release. The issues themselves are edge cases I wouldn't anticipate any problems, but you may want to hold off until at least Friday before getting started on your testing to ensure you have that fix code at your disposal.
