Hi Richard. Make sure you have port 3310 open on your firewall and make sure you have the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015 (64-bit) (https://download.microsoft.com/download/9/3/F/93FCF1E7-E6A4-478B-96E7-D4B285925B00/vc_redist.x64.exe) installed on your server. The newest version of ClamAV that comes with the newest release of SM 16x requires it. It actually should have been installed when you upgraded to the latest 16x because SmarterTools bootstrapped it to the installer to ensure that it gets installed. Please check to make sure you have it installed just in case. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I will be happy to help. Thanks!

Hello Linda,
Thanx for helping out
I found this thread also about this subject

Rod Laski link to the 64 and the 32 bit version
so after installing the 32 bit version too SM could connect to Clamd
