Is anyone successfully automating login to SM?

For many years we utilized an automated login for clients from our main website to SmarterMail. That process no longer works. I have searched endlessly to find a solution for SM16 with no success. Yes, I have read this post https://portal.smartertools.com/community/a89150/sm16-autologin.aspx and tried various coding to no avail. Sometimes it will work in Chrome. It never works in Firefox or IE. There has to be a better way.
Is anyone having any success doing this?

Apologies for not seeing this sooner. As far as I am aware, Edge is the only browser that is not supported. The script we've provided in our Help doc, Automating Login to SmarterMail, should work when using Firefox, IE or Chrome. I have heard other reports of successful logins with this script, so I would encourage you to submit a ticket to the Support Department so they can determine what's causing this issue.
 
If you would like, I'd be happy to submit one of your Email Tickets on your behalf. (Keeping in mind that the ticket will be refunded back to your account for future use if this issue is determined to be caused by SmarterMail or the script we've provided.)

Thank you, Andrea. I plan to install the latest release in the next day or two and see if I have better luck. I will let you know.

Hi Shayne,

Just a quick update... I wanted to let you know that in SmarterMail 16.3.6855, the HTML code for automating user login has been changed to utilize new API calls for a better user experience. The previous script provided in the SmarterMail Online Help will only function for versions 16.0.6345 - 16.3.6843. Please be sure to update your auto-login code prior to upgrading to version 16.3.6855 or higher. Both scripts are available in the Online Help documentation: Automating Login to SmarterMail.
