I have not seen anything on this issue for a while so I need to ask it.  With all of the turmoil with v16, we have decided to camp out on v15.  We would like to continue using our add-ons (Message Sniffer, etc) but do not wish to pay for upgrade protection that we will not use.  Is renewing the SmartMail upgrade protection still a requirement to renew the add-ons?  We are already exploring replacements for those add-ons in the event that we needs to change but want to be sure before we pull the trigger.
